– You must download the 2023 MCA with 2024 Annotations before you can install the Folio Views. –
You downloaded the electronic copy of the 2023 MCA and 2024 Annotations when you entered your access code. Now you need to install the file on your computer. Please note that the access code only works once for each copy that you purchased.
A list of files should have appeared when you clicked Open after you entered your access code.
First: Unzip
The 2023 Montana Code Annotated with 2024 Annotations does not automatically install. The preferred installation method is to unzip the MCA2024.zip to a file location on your computer. When the file is unzipped on your computer, the folder will be named MCA2024. There will be a list of the files inside this folder. Click on setup.exe and follow the rest of the instructions.
You will need to save the file location for future access because you can only download the MCA/Annotations once per purchase.
Have you installed Folio before?
If you have a previous version of this software, uninstall the previous version before installing the MCA 2024 software. Note you will need elevated rights to uninstall and install software on your computer.
Is this your first time installing Folio?
If you have not installed this software before, the process provides two installation options: Typical or Hard Disk (recommended). If installing to a hard drive, the databases will take up about 400 megabytes of room on the hard drive.
The installation inserts menu items under Start Programs called Montana Legislative Services. This download is called MCA 2023.
